What would be a good game to develop for the Android in today’s mobile app market?
I want to develop an Android app through learning the LibGDX plugin, along with all the appropriate tutorials I can find, and sell it through Google Play and some other mobile app stores, so that way I can pay my university tuition and expenses
It’s not for a full-time job, but rather, for something to work on on my own spare time. However, I am not so good in creativity as I thought, whether I’m in the mood to design my own version of Taito’s Arkanoid or some shooter with very simple shapes but many different colors including gradients and perhaps my own texture drawings. (I’m not a graphic artist, but rather, a simple JAVA programmer)
So what is the current mobile game market like right now and what is it that people want so that way I can figure out a game I want to develop that satisfies people’s expectations? What makes a mobile game successful? And aren’t there any other stores I can sell my Android app besides Google Play? When would even be a good time to do some crowdfunding for polishing the game, tuning and debugging, then publishing it?
